Looking for a Bed? Enter Right Away!
It never ceases to amaze me how consumers are constantly seeking out the newest and best products available. There appears to be a persistent preference for the "same old, same old" when it comes to mattresses, particularly when it comes to coils and springs. It hurts! But that's not the most shocking part; the most shocking part is the price of these mattresses. If you're looking for a high-quality mattress with coils and springs, you should be prepared to spend $1500 to $3000 USD. However, keep in mind that all you're really getting is an expensive foundation with a memory foam pillow top—the part that actually gives you that comfort. Suppose the $200 pillow top was the deciding factor in your purchase of a 100-pound wooden box loaded with coils and springs. You have now spent $2,000 USD.
So why not give yourself plenty of time to research all of your possibilities? There are a plethora of alternatives that make use of our most recent technological advancements, cost half as much, and offer a far more conducive setting for you to rest. Sleep systems that are now standard in most modern mattresses and beds are meticulously engineered to accommodate a wide range of body shapes, sleeping positions, and pressure points, all while promoting proper spinal alignment. Only when paired with a memory foam pillow top can a coil-and-spring mattress make this claim. Your lower back and other non-sunken body parts won't get any support from the springs and coils since they can't "fill in the gaps" between them.
Most notably, the coils in a coil-and-spring mattress don't operate together, so your spouse won't feel your movements. Excellent, but what good is it if you are uncomfortable and end up stiff and exhausted in the morning? To be completely honest, I've never met someone who "bowls" while lying in bed.
What choices do you have then? When compared to traditional spring and coil systems, four modern alternatives offer far more bang for the buck in terms of price, health advantages, and ease of use.
One option is an air mattress bed, which may cradle and support your body unlike a traditional spring mattress while also distributing your weight more evenly. The air bed's state-of-the-art, ultra-quiet inflation technology and user-friendly handheld controls make it easy for each sleeper to quickly and easily customize the hardness of their side to their ideal comfort level. Envision a world where couples may personalize their air bed experience by adjusting the hardness and comfort level of each side to their liking. (Pro tip: to tell a high-quality product, search for features like contoured foam edges and horizontal baffling.)
2) Adjustable Beds— It's not something we should suggest, but any honest mattress seller won't tell you to watch TV or read in bed. However, for some people, this is just the way of life in this day and age. Therefore, you ought to give some serious consideration to executing it correctly if that is the case. Adjustable mattresses may go into a plethora of soothing positions with the push of a button. And you won't even feel a little bit of strain, pressure, or stress because of it. As your very own massage system works to alleviate aches and pains, stress, and general weariness, all with the touch of a button, you may experience a whole new level of relaxation. Facilitate peaceful slumber by means of relaxing. (Hint: Pay attention to the frame construction; the "mattress included" is usually deceptive and of low quality.)
The third option is a latex bed, which is the most comfortable material for a mattress. Latex mattresses are starting to take off in the US after a meteoric rise in popularity in Europe. Every day, more and more people in the United States find out about the amazing benefits of latex mattresses. When it comes to latex foam, the Talalay Process ensures the best quality, consistency, and resilience. Its uniform density and homogeneous cell structure make it exceptionally hard and comfortable. Natural latex items are also available for purchase. (Hint: If you want high-quality foam and a range of comfort levels, search for US-made foam that is layered.)
4) Memory Foam Beds – I guess everyone knows about this one. You've probably seen the "handprint" photographs and heard all the NASA explanations about how the space shuttle uses this. But in case you didn't know, NASA-developed Visco Elastic Memory Foam is the secret ingredient in Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattresses. The temperature of viscoelastic memory foam is important to consider. In fact, it does something no other material can: it reacts to the heat your body produces, molding itself to your every curve. In response to your body's pressure points, the memory foam will soften in those areas. The foam retains its cooler and firmer properties in areas where your body makes less contact with it. The end effect is less pressure points and a more rejuvenating night's sleep because the pressure is spread evenly throughout the body. (Pro tip: Sensus, created in the US with a multilayer design, offers the same level of comfort and quality as European foam, so be wary of that.)
You can customize your level of comfort by adjusting the foam layers of many modern sleep systems, and they all cost far less than traditional mattresses with coils and springs. Plus, there are a ton of significant sleep benefits from the various technologies used in sleep systems. Checking these out is a must if you're in the market for a new mattress or sleep system; doing so will benefit your health and your wallet (ouch!).
